In its brief history, AT&T Park has established itself as one of the premier ballparks in the Major Leagues. Located along the San Francisco Bay, the park is home to McCovey Cove, which is the small portion of the bay located just beyond the right-field wall, named after retired Giants Hall of Fame slugger Willie McCovey. During each game, fans wait in boats ready to chase any home runs that happen to reach the water. Thus far, 84 splash hits have made it to the water on the fly in the park's history.

AT&T Park embodies the feel of a classic baseball stadium. In fact, it is directly inspired and modeled after historic parks, such as Chicago's Wrigley Field, Boston's Fenway Park, and Baltimore's Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Outside, in the entry area of the stadium, AT&T Park pays tribute to four former Giants greats and current baseball Hall of Famers, with statues of Willie Mays, McCovey, Juan Marichal and Orlando Cepeda.

AT&T Park can accommodate large-scale events; it has already hosted two World Series (2002, '10), the '07 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and numerous concerts featuring headliners such as the Rolling Stones. This stadium is sure to make an incredible setting for the semi-finals and final of the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
