How does a recipient accept a ticket transfer?

Your recipient will receive an e-mail notification that you have been offered tickets to a Nationals game.

  1. Click on the ticket offer you have received.
  2. You will be asked to create a My Nationals Tickets account if you do not already have one.
    1. To create an account you will need to provide information such as Name, Address, Email, etc...
    2. You will also be asked to provide a valid credit card number for your account. This credit card is simply used as a way to authorize any re-prints for stolen, damaged or lost tickets and will not be charged.
  3. Once you create an account and accept the ticket transfer an email notification of acceptance will be sent to you and the person who offered you the tickets.
  4. The bar code that is on the original tickets will be invalidated thus making the accepted tickets the valid tickets for entry to that designated game.
  5. The transferred tickets can be printed at home, picked up at Nationals Park Will Call, or picked up at one of the automated ticket kiosks located outside of Nationals Park.

Is there a fee to transfer tickets?

There is a $2.00 fee associated with each ticket transferred and this fee is paid for by the sender. The fee is charged when tickets are accepted by a recipient. If tickets are not accepted or if a recipient declines, there is no fee.

A specific amount of free "Buddy" recipients will be awarded to each season ticket account based on the size of their plan. These buddies will be able to receive unlimited transfers throughout the season for free.

  • Half Season Plan - receives 3 FREE Buddies for the 2010 season

How do I donate tickets to Most Valuable Kids?

Each Nationals season ticket holder will have a pre-populated transfer buddy for the Most Valuable Kids program. If you cannot use your tickets to a game and would like to donate them, simply select tickets to transfer and chose the "MVK" buddy. Your tickets will be accepted by Most Valuable Kids to help bring local youth to the ballpark. A receipt for your donation will be mailed to you for your records.

About Most Valuable Kids:

Live sports and entertainment provide a positive source of inspiration for children in a world where there are many negative alternatives. Most Valuable Kids, Inc. (MVK) brings this inspiration, at no cost, to underserved children in the Washington, DC/Baltimore Metropolitan Areas. MVK does this by offering children's organizations access to professional and collegiate sports and entertainment events through an online ticket donation and reward system.

MVK overcomes the financial obstacles associated with live events by distributing unused tickets to children that would enjoy the opportunity to go to an event, but would otherwise not be able to because of the high costs associated with tickets. These tickets are distributed to boys and girls, 18 and under, through the numerous organizations that focus on children in low-income and underserved households.

For the ticket donor MVK provides an avenue for season ticket holders of professional sports and entertainment events to distribute unused tickets to children in need, in turn receiving a tax deduction for their donation. MVK offers its ticket donors an easy opportunity to give back to the community and add a smile to a child's face.

Please allow at least 72 hours before a Nationals game for donations.
