DC Public Library Summer Reading

The Nationals are sponsoring the DC Public Library's Summer Reading program. Summer is a great time for kids to get caught up in a good book, and those registered in the Summer Reading program that have read at least eight hours will receive a Summer Reading ticket voucher from their library for two free tickets to a Nationals game!

Click on the tabs below for more details about the program.

Get Caught Up In A Good Book!

This summer my teammates and I want you to get caught up in a good book. We know how fun exploring a great a story can be and that is why the Nationals are sponsoring the DC Public Library's Summer Reading program for kids and teens.

While part of my job is making great catches on the baseball field, your job this summer is to catch a great book and keep learning. You have the entire summer to enjoy fantastic books and get caught up in cool and exciting stories.

In fact, make sure to check out the Summer Reading list for books about one of my favorite topics-baseball! Choose one of the books on the list or one of the thousands of other great books at the library.

For every kid and teen between the ages of 6-19 that is registered in the Summer Reading program and reads at least eight hours this summer, we will give you two free tickets to catch one of our games at Nationals Park. To sign up or get more information, visit your DC Public Library or log on to

Have a great summer and happy reading!
