DC Public Library Summer Reading

The Nationals are again sponsoring the DC Public Library's Summer Reading program. Summer is a great time for kids to get caught up in a good book. Kids ages 6-18 that are registered and complete the Summer Reading program will receive a ticket voucher from their library for two free tickets to a Nationals game!

Summer, Reading and Baseball!

Welcome to the 2017 DC Public Library Summer Reading Program!

The shelves of the Library are filled with the stories of people who have helped build a better world. We invite you to explore those stories this summer, through the Summer Reading program.

Through books you will find at the library, you can learn about many great people who have done things, both big and small, to help others and improve their communities and the world at large. We hope these stories will inspire you to build a better world in your own unique way. You can also attend programs at the DC Public Libraries to learn more about how you can contribute to building a better world.

No matter which books you choose to read, if you read at least eight hours as part of the summer reading program, the Washington Nationals and the DC Public Library will give you two free tickets to a game at Nationals Park. We'll also give out some other great prizes.

How can you build a better world? What can you create, shape and make this summer? Check out the library for ideas and inspiration! Visit for more information on the library's Summer Reading program and events.
