This year's dates include:
Kids Run the Bases is open to ALL KIDS AGES 4-12. An adult must accompany runners to the field. One adult per child on the field. Starting at first base, kids will be directed to run around the bases as the adults continue along the warning track and meet the runners near home plate.
Once the game has ended, it takes the grounds crew approximately 20 minutes to prepare the field for Kids Run the Bases.
Like the game of baseball itself, Kids Run the Bases operates without a time clock. However, during a typical event, the final runner generally crosses home plate about one hour after the end of the game.
Kids and parents/guardians can begin lining up at the end of the 7th inning, however fans that would like to stay and watch the entire game will still be able to line up once the game has ended. Participants must exit the ballpark through the Right Field Gate. The line forms outside of the park on the sidewalk along First St.
Parents/guardians who are on the field with the children should meet them at home plate and will be directed towards the exit. Once fans exit the field they will be directed towards the Center Field Gate to exit the park.
We do not want your little ones trampled! Therefore, Kids Run the Bases is limited to kids ages 4-12.
