The Washington Nationals Dream Foundation and the Washington Nationals Baseball Club are committed to community partnerships that improve the lives of children and families across the Washington Capital Region and assist with the growth of baseball. The Foundation's cornerstone programs are focused on children's education, health and recreation.
A 501(c)3 charitable organization, the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation has committed to, among other projects, a partnership with the District of Columbia Government to build the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy to teach the fundamentals of baseball and provide after-school educational programs for children in the DC region. The Foundation has also joined with the Children's National Medical Center to create a Pediatric Diabetes Care Complex. Additionally, the Foundation makes grants to other organizations that offer programs compatible with our mission to assist children and families in our area.
The Washington Nationals Foundation was established in 2005 and re-launched as the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation in 2007 under new team owners, the Lerner family and partners. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, tax ID number 34-2034830. Contributions to this organization are deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation raises money through special events, sponsorship of the Wall of Dream Supporters at Nationals Park (inscribed baseballs placed permanently on display), memorabilia auctions and the sale of team-related merchandise. We also rely on donations to fund our work and deeply appreciate the generosity of our fans and friends. Please take this opportunity to give a gift that will establish a legacy for children and families in the Washington Capital Region.
