MLB Players Trusts Buses for Baseball program rolls in to Anaheim
ANAHEIM -- Prior to tonights game, Los Angeles Angels players Angels Orlando Cabrera, Jeff DaVanon, Darin Erstad, Chone Figgins, Steve Finley, Adam Kennedy, Dallas McPherson, Bengie Molina, Jose Molina, Josh Paul and Robb Quinlan will help create everlasting memories for several local children when the Major League Baseball Players Trusts Buses for Baseball program motors in to Anaheim.
Courtesy of the players charitable foundation, children from the Boys & Girls Club of Placentia will receive round-trip transportation to the game, meet the players, and receive free tickets, food, beverages and souvenirs.
Buses for Baseball, a program administered by the Players Trust and underwritten by Microsoft Xbox, provides transportation and personal greetings for underprivileged children attending Major League Baseball games as invited guests of their big league heroes.
The Players Trust enjoys support from the Angels organization in providing this unique, up close and personal opportunity to share the thrill of Major League Baseball with children from the Anaheim area. Buses for Baseball provides many children with their first chance to attend a Major League Baseball game.
The Major League Baseball Players Trust is a charitable foundation created by the players to help those in need. Through the Players Trust, Major League players contribute their time, money and celebrity to call attention to important issues affecting those in need and to help encourage others to get involved in their own communities.
