Shairon Martis shut down the Cardinals in a complete-game victory. The right-hander didn't give up a hit until the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, the Nationals' offense came alive, with Adam Dunn slugging a three-run homer. Washington tacked on two runs in the eighth.
