Closing out their season in a game that would likely decide the NL East champ, the Nationals hung tough, but could not prevent the Phillies from winning the division title. Austin Kearns notched an RBI single in the fourth inning for Washington, which came in fourth this year after three consecutive fifth-place finishes.
