The Nationals' first inning, which included RBI doubles by Ryan Zimmerman, Dmitri Young and Austin Kearns, as well as a two-run homer by Ronnie Belliard, was enough to give the team a series win over the Astros. Washington outscored Houston, 27-15, in the four-game series.
