Redding doesn't need runs
Nationals 7, Astros 0
Tim Redding scattered six hits to the Astros on Monday. (Dave Einsel/AP)
 Young's three-run homer
 Pena's solo homer
Homers from Wily Mo Pena and Dmitri Young early on gave Tim Redding a big cushion to work with that he didn't really need. The young right-hander hurled seven shutout innings vs. the Astros in the opener on Monday.
