Major League Baseball, along with the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 Major League baseball clubs, selected the 25-man rosters.
Drafted out of Kentucky, Meyer is a lanky 6-foot-9, 220-pound right-hander with two plus pitches -- a fastball that reaches 97 mph and a slider between 86-88 mph. In 14 starts this season for the Class A Hagerstown Suns, Meyer holds a 6-3 record with a 3.33 ERA in 70.1 innings pitched.
On Tuesday, Meyer was named South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for June 11-17. In two starts over that span, Meyer was 1-0 with a 1.64 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 11 innings, surrendering just two earned runs.
