Guzman exits game with cut toe
Nats' shortstop day-to-day; Young not ready to take field

It was pretty clear Guzman was hurting in the first inning. With Lastings Milledge on second, Guzman hit a routine ground ball to second baseman Dan Uggla. Guzman didn't run hard and was easily thrown out by Uggla.
"He has [torn] skin underneath his toe. It's very painful, so we had to take him out of the game," manager Manny Acta. "He is going to take the day off tomorrow anyway, so we'll see how it feels the day after tomorrow."
In other news, Acta said Dmitri Young's back problems are subsiding, but he is not even close to getting on the field.
"He's not ready to get on the field yet, so it's a moot point," Acta said. "Until he gets on the field, we can't even make an assessment on how is he doing or what are his chances. He needs to get on the field. Until then, let him get healthy."
