Nationals' Young making progress

WASHINGTON -- Nationals first baseman Dmitri Young continues to make progress as he works his way back into baseball shape. Because play in the Gulf Coast League ended on Sunday, he will move from the team's Spring Training complex in Viera, Fla., to Burlington, Vt., on Monday.

There is no timetable for Young's return to the Major League team.

After weeks of struggling to get his diabetes under control, Young was medically cleared to resume baseball activities on Aug. 22.

Young hasn't played a Major League game since July 11. At first, he was out due to back problems. After the All-Star break, Young participated in the team's workouts and said he was ready to play, but he was unable to because he felt lightheaded and his diabetes wasn't under control.
