SATURDAY, JULY 2
Nationals-Pirates Doubleheader: The May 17 matchup between the Nationals and the Pirates has been rescheduled as a single-admission doubleheader for July 2, with the first game beginning at 3:35 p.m. and the second game following at 7:05 p.m. or later, depending on the completion of the first game. All tickets for the July 2 game will be valid for both games of the doubleheader. Individual-game ticket holders for the May 17 contest, including those who purchased tickets for $2 Tuesday and Weather Day, can exchange their tickets at the Nationals Park Box Office. T-Shirt Giveaway: The first 10,000 fans to enter Nationals Park for the 3:35 p.m. matchup will receive a patriotic Curly "W" T-shirt presented by The Washington Post.
Patriotic Post-game Fireworks: Following the second game of the doubleheader, the Nationals will feature a fireworks display presented by Marvel Studios' new motion picture Captain America: First Avenger.
SUNDAY, JULY 3
Nickelodeon Day: The Nationals have partnered with Nickelodeon to host an entire day of family-friendly activities featuring two of the most beloved characters from the children's television network: SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer. The characters will interact with fans during a scheduled photo session, meet and greet with Jr. Nats Club members, and through various in-game activations.
MONDAY, JULY 4
2011 Patriotic Series: In honor of Independence Day and the third game of the 2011 Patriotic Series, the Nationals will offer special ticket discounts to encourage fans to celebrate the American spirit by enjoying the national pastime at Nationals Park. As part of the Patriotic Series, the team plans to incorporate a variety of creative game day elements to pay tribute to those who risk their lives to protect this country. All fans are eligible to take advantage of special ticket offers in the following locations:
Upper Infield Gallery ($10 per seat)
Left Field/Right Field Mezzanine ($20 per seat with $6 food/beverage credit)
Left Field/Right Field Corner ($25 per seat with $10 food/beverage credit)
Left Field/RF Baseline Reserved ($40 per seat with $15 food/beverage credit)

U.S. Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler Henry Cejudo will be on hand to make the play ball announcement while American equestrian athlete Hannah Sue Burnett will deliver the line-up card. Additional patriotic elements will also be incorporated as part of the game day festivities.
Patriotic Cap: The first 20,000 fans to enter Nationals Park will receive a Patriotic Cap presented by 106.7 The Fan.
Long Haul Bombers: The Nationals will welcome back the Long Haul Bombers to showcase their homerun power during a pregame competition on the field. The Long Haul Bombers are a group of professional softball players who travel the country competing in softball home run derbies, during which three hitters each get 15 swings to hit as many home runs as they can.
TUESDAY, JULY 5
Joining Forces with the Washington Nationals - Honoring Our Military Families: In the spirit of the Nationals ongoing appreciation for the military, the team will dedicate this day to the Joining Forces initiative, which focuses on supporting military families. All pregame assets as well as programming throughout the game will highlight the courage and sacrifice of our military families.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 6
Capital Area Food Bank Visit: Nationals players will make their annual summer visit to the Capital Area Food Bank from noon to 1 p.m. to help assemble bagged lunches for local under-privileged children.
Sam Adams Beer Tasting: Jim Koch, Founder and Brewer of Sam Adams, will be hosting a tasting, pairing food with select Sam Adams beers in the PNC Diamond Club from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The tasting is only available to guests with PNC Diamond Club and Lexus Presidents Club tickets. Koch will also be throwing out the Ceremonial First Pitch.
FRIDAY, JULY 8
Tri-Color Cap: The first 10,000 fans 21 and up to enter Nationals Park will receive a red, white and blue cap presented by Miller Lite.
SATURDAY, JULY 9
NATS U: Baseball for Women: Nationals fans are invited to attend NATS U: Baseball for Women, an in-depth, hands-on experience for longtime baseball fanatics and newcomers to the game alike. This year's NATS U packages include a baseball clinic and speaker series, as well as a gift bag, T-shirt, team photo, certificate and game tickets to the 7:05 p.m. matchup against the Colorado Rockies. Attendees can also enjoy a pregame happy hour at 5:30 p.m. Packages start at just $50 and can be upgraded to a $150 package that includes seats in the all-inclusive PNC Diamond Club with complimentary food, draft beer and house wine. Game tickets will be available for pick up at the NATS U registration table on the morning of the event beginning at 10 a.m. To purchase tickets, visit nationals.com/natsu.
Washington Nationals Baseball Family Day: Nationals players will visit the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery to celebrate Baseball Family Day, during which they will meet with fans, take part in a Q&A session and be available for photos with children in attendance.
Harris Teeter Food Drive: During the weekend series against the Colorado Rockies, Nationals fans will have the opportunity to help those in need by bringing non-perishable food items to Nationals Park on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10. Volunteers will be stationed outside the Center Field Gate from the time gates open through the fourth inning collecting non-perishable items. Fans who donate food items at the ballpark will receive two tickets to one of three future games (July 26, Sept. 6 or Sept. 10) while supplies last. For those who can't make it to Nationals Park that weekend, Harris Teeter is currently accepting in-store collections until July 19.
Pups in the Park: Fans and their canine companions will be welcomed back to Nationals Park for the second of three Pups in the Park events of the 2011 season. Owner tickets are available for only $20, while dog tickets cost $5 and benefit the Washington Humane Society. The last Pups in the Park event will take place on Saturday, September 24 when the Nationals face the Atlanta Braves. Tickets may be purchased at nationals.com/pups or by calling 202.675.NATS(6287).
SUNDAY, JULY 10
Jewish Community Day: To celebrate Jewish culture, the Nationals will offer a special $35 ticket package which includes a game ticket and opportunities to take part in a variety of festivities, including a Kosher food sampling presented by Empire Kosher and pregame music from the band "The Alexandria Kleztet." Fans will also receive a $10 concession credit on each ticket and a special Jewish Community Day T-shirt (for the first 500 Jewish Community Day package buyers). PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION
Due to the holiday weekend, WMATA will limit track work to accommodate high levels of traffic. On Friday and Saturday, Metro will be single-tracking several lines and riders are encouraged to add at least 20 minutes onto their travel time. While trains will be running at rush hour service levels on July 4, allow extra travel time as Metro will be crowded.
