The Washington Nationals today recalled right-handed pitcher Chris Schroder from Triple-A Columbus. Nationals Senior Vice President and General Manager Jim Bowden made this announcement.

Schroder, 29, returns to the Nationals for his third stint in the Majors this season. He is 0-0 with a 2.25 ERA in three games with Washington, and 3-2 with a 3.45 ERA in 12 games with Columbus. Schroder has recorded 25 strikeouts and just seven bases on balls in 15.2 innings at Triple-A.

Following last night's game, the Nationals placed second baseman Ronnie Belliard on the 15-day Disabled List, retroactive to May 16, with a left calf strain.
