The Washington Nationals debuted a new song, "Nuts About The Nats" during their last homestand at Nationals Park, April 7-13. Charlie Brotman, former Washington Senators Public Address Announcer penned the lyrics. The music was provided by Edd Kalehoff of Kalehoff Productions, a New York-based company that has also created scores for the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, New York Knicks and New York Rangers, and ABC Sports, ESPN, NBC Sports and the Monday Night Football Theme.

"The lyrics for the song are meant to capture the fans' excitement, the rush of emotion and the fun and good times they are experiencing," said Charlie Brotman, CEO of Brotman, Winter Fried Communications and the song's author. Brotman has been associated with Washington-area baseball teams since the mid-50s, serving as the announcer at Griffith Stadium and RFK Stadium.

The Nationals open an eleven-game homestand at Nationals Park on Wednesday, April 23 vs. the New York Mets at 7:10pm. Season Ticket packages may be purchased by calling 202.675.NATS (6287) or going online at nationals.com. Individual game tickets may be purchased by calling 888.632.NATS (6287) or via nationals.com.
