Following tonight's 2-1 victory over Atlanta at RFK Stadium, the Washington Nationals optioned outfielder/infielder Kory Casto to Columbus of the Triple-A International League. Nationals Vice President and General Manager Jim Bowden made the announcements.

Tomorrow, the Nationals are expected to recall from rehab and reinstate right-handed pitcher Jerome Williams from the 15-Day Disabled List. Williams is slated to make his sixth start of the season tomorrow night vs. Atlanta. The 25 year-old Williams is 0-4 with a 6.11 ERA in five starts this season with Washington. He made one rehab start with Columbus. On Thursday at Buffalo, Williams did not garner a decision despite allowing one run on four hits in 6.0 innings. He walked two and struck out five.

Casto, 25, hit .130 (7-for-54) with two doubles and three RBI in 16 games during two separate stints Washington this season.
