The Washington Nationals today placed shortstop Cristian Guzman on the 15-Day Disabled List (left hamstring strain). Tomorrow, the Nationals are expected to select the contract of infielder D'Angelo Jimenez from Columbus of the Triple-A International League. Nationals Vice President and General Manager Jim Bowden made the announcements.

Earlier this afternoon, Guzman had an MRI, which confirmed the strain of the left hamstring. He is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
