DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers Hometown Championship is a competitive, end-of-the-season tournament that has grown from 28 teams to 98 teams in 2016. The double elimination tournament will take place Thursday, July 28 through Saturday, August 6 that features over 1,800 players and coaches from nine age divisions, including Boys - 8U (Machine Pitch), 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U and Girls: 12U, 14U and 18U and is hosted in partnership with the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities, the Youth Development Commission and the city of Detroit Recreation Department.
