The Boston Red Sox today recalled right-handed pitcher Alfredo Aceves from Triple-A Pawtucket and added him as the club's 26th man on the active roster for today's day-night doubleheader against the Rays at Fenway Park. Aceves will start the 1:05 p.m. game. Under Major League Baseball Rules, teams are permitted to add an extra player for doubleheaders.
