ARLINGTON -- Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager was ruled out at third on a stolen-base attempt in the seventh inning against the Rangers after Seattle manager Lloyd McClendon requested an umpire's review. After a video review, the ruling on the field stood.

Seager was called out by third-base umpire D.J. Reyburn after Seager slid in while Adrian Beltre applied the tag to his hip on the throw from Rangers catcher Robinson Chirinos. Seager had doubled with one out in the seventh.

It was the ninth umpire challenge of the season by McClendon, with four plays overturned.

The Mariners wound up scoring a run later in the inning with an RBI double by Dustin Ackley to extend their lead to 6-2.
