Report: White Sox exploring potential trades
Sale, Konerko only players considered untouchable by club
The White Sox have made everyone but left-handed starter Chris Sale and first baseman Paul Konerko available for possible trades and have already begun exploring potential deals, according to a report by CBSSports.com.
Citing anonymous rivals, the report states center fielder Alex Rios, shortstop Alexei Ramirez and left-handed starter John Danks are among the most prominent names available. Moreover, the report says the club is taking "a very reasonable" approach this season and is aware of the players it can potentially move.
Relievers Jesse Crain, Matt Lindstrom and Matt Thornton along with right-handed starter Jake Peavy, who is currently on the disabled list with a broken rib, were all mentioned in the report as players that could be moved. Infielder Jeff Keppinger has also been mentioned in trade talks, the report said.
