WASHINGTON -- The Nationals named their Minor League managers and coordinators for the 2012 season.
The Nats promoted two managers within their system, elevating Tony Beasley from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Syracuse and Matthew LeCroy from Class A Potomac to Harrisburg.
In addition to those managerial changes, Washington added two new managers to its chain. Brian Rupp, who spent the previous eight seasons as a coach or manager in the Royals' system, will manage Potomac. Tripp Keister will skipper the Gulf Coast Nationals after spending 16 seasons as a coach at the college level.
Also, Bobby Henley (Minor League field coordinator), Spin Williams (pitching coordinator), Rick Schu (hitting coordinator), Mark Grater (rehabilitation/pitching coordinator), Jeff Garber (infielder coordinator) and Tony Tarasco (outfield/baserunning coordinator) will return to their respective positions.
