Zimmerman out with flu-like symptoms
Third baseman won't see action for second successive game
WASHINGTON -- Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman was out of the lineup for the second successive game on Thursday because of flu-like symptoms. Zimmerman had some blood work done and said he feels much better.
Manager Manny Acta is hoping that Zimmerman will be available to play sometime this weekend against the Phillies.
"He's not in very good shape," Acta said. "He went to the doctor. He was having some problems swallowing. He's not available for tonight's game. I'm not expecting any magic recovery so fast."
