All live games streamed on MLB.TV and available through MLB.com At Bat are subject to local, regional or national blackouts as more fully described in the following paragraphs. Except for certain Saturday regular season MLB games as described below or in certain MLB Club home television territories for which MLBAM may offer in-market subscription services, all live games will be blacked out in each applicable Club's home television territory. If a game is blacked out in an area, it is not available for live game viewing. In addition, note:
National: Due to MLB exclusivities, live national broadcasts of Major League Baseball events, and select live national broadcasts of MLB games (excluding those subject to Authenticated Access, described below), including those broadcast by ESPN on Sunday will be blacked out in the United States (including the territories of Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands). For a current listing of regular season games that will be nationally blacked out in the United States, click here. The list at this link will be updated throughout the season.
Regional: Certain Saturday regular season MLB games broadcast live by the Fox network will be blacked out to those end users of MLB.TV who attempt to access a live game within the territory of an applicable Fox Saturday broadcast. Fox broadcasts available in areas other than where an end user is accessing a subscription will be available for live game viewing. For a current list of Fox Saturday broadcasts subject to regional blackout, please check on mlb.com closer to Spring Training. Those Fox Saturday games that are not subject to regional blackout will be subject to the general home television territory blackout restrictions listed above (under Regular Season Blackouts Generally).
Changes: In addition, in the event of circumstances that produce a programming conflict or change in schedule, the above blackout windows may be subject to change.
Due to Major League Baseball exclusivities, any play-in game to determine the final team(s) to reach the MLB Postseason, i.e. a 163rd game, will be blacked out in the United States (including the territories of Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Live Audio of such games is available as part of any MLB.TV subscription, as part of the MLB.com Gameday Audio subscription and may be available as part of certain other of our subscription services, including subscriptions available within MLB.com At Bat.
Due to Major League Baseball exclusivities, during the MLB Postseason, all live games will be blacked out in the United States (including the territories of Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands) and Canada. If you are an MLB.TV Single Team or MLB.TV Premium Subscriber in an area subject to Postseason game blackout, Postseason games will be available as an archived game approximately 90 minutes after the conclusion of the applicable game.
Live Audio of MLB Postseason games is available as part of an MLB.TV Premium subscription, as part of the MLB.com Gameday Audio or as part of subscription available within MLB.com At Bat
Certain MLB games and events, such as the All-Star Game and select MLB Postseason games, broadcast nationally by Fox may be available for live streaming via MLB.TV to those subscribers who are also eligible customers of a participating cable or video service provider ("Authenticated Access"). MLB.TV Premium or Yearly subscribers who are not able to authenticate with a participating cable or video service provider, as determined by the applicable provider, will be blacked out from live streaming of these nationally broadcast games or events.
Subscribers to the Postseason.TV subscription service, available only during the MLB Postseason, will be able to view live alternative video feeds (excluding the broadcast feed) from MLB Postseason games without blackout restrictions.
No blackout restrictions apply.
To find out which local teams you are blacked out from viewing live, enter the zip code of the location you are viewing from here. After pressing Go a window will pop up, listing the teams you cannot view live (either Home or Away). If you are accessing the Internet through a VPN connection (or other secure network connection), you might be getting a blackout message because the host IP Address for the VPN is within the restricted range for the game that you are trying to access. In this case, we suggest that you try the following: log off of the VPN connection (or other secure network connection) and access the Internet through a local connection. You should also disable any proxies that you are using. If you feel that you are still being blacked out incorrectly, please update your Payment Profile.
If that does not work or apply, power cycle your modem and/or router. To do this, unplug your modem, as well as any wired or wireless router you are using, for about 10 seconds. Then re-plug the device(s). Wait a few minutes as your Internet connection resets and, then, try to view the game again. If you believe you are still incorrectly blacked out, contact our Customer Service Department toll free at 866-800-1275 (International Customers call 512-434-1542).
